1. Purpose
This Royalty Policy explains the general approach Record Tunes uses for
revenue administration and payouts for eligible music releases. It should
be read together with the applicable Terms & Conditions, User Agreement
and other Record Tunes policies.
2. Revenue Collection
Where the applicable Record Tunes service arrangement provides for revenue
collection, Record Tunes may collect or administer revenue reported by
applicable third-party platforms and services and make the eligible share
available to the user according to the applicable terms.
3. Standard Revenue Share
Under the standard arrangement described by Record Tunes,
70% of eligible revenue is allocated to the user and 30% to
Record Tunes.
This revenue share is not a guarantee of earnings. The amount ultimately
available depends on actual revenue reported and applicable adjustments
or conditions.
4. What Revenue Depends On
Royalty or revenue amounts may depend on streams, sales, usage, territories,
platform reporting, applicable rates, deductions, adjustments, taxes where
applicable and other factors outside Record Tunes' direct control.
5. Third-Party Reporting
Revenue information may be received from third-party platforms after their
own reporting and accounting cycles. Record Tunes cannot guarantee the timing
or completeness of a third party's reporting schedule.
6. Reporting and Reconciliation
Revenue records may be reconciled against information received from applicable
platforms and service providers. Amounts can change when later reports,
corrections, reversals or adjustments are received.
7. Minimum Payout
The current minimum payout threshold is ₹50, subject to
applicable account, verification, revenue reporting and payout requirements.
8. Payout Processing
Reaching the minimum threshold does not necessarily mean that a payout is
immediate. Revenue may need to be reported, reconciled and made eligible
for payment before it can be released.
9. Account Eligibility
Payouts may require a valid account, accurate payment information and any
verification or documentation reasonably required for revenue administration.
Users are responsible for keeping their information current.
10. Corrections and Adjustments
Previously reported revenue may be adjusted because of platform corrections,
invalid activity, refunds, reversals, accounting changes or other applicable
adjustments. Record Tunes may reflect such changes in subsequent reporting
or payout calculations.
11. Rights and Ownership
Users are responsible for having the necessary rights and permissions for
the content they submit. Royalty administration does not transfer ownership
of a user's music except where rights are expressly granted under an
applicable agreement.
12. Multiple Contributors
Where a release has multiple owners, contributors or other entitled parties,
users are responsible for providing accurate information and complying with
any applicable ownership or split arrangements.
13. Takedown or Removal
If a release is removed, restricted or taken down because of a rights issue,
policy violation, third-party action or other valid reason, related revenue
may be affected. Any applicable adjustments will be handled according to
the relevant circumstances and policies.
14. Account Suspension or Termination
Revenue or payout processing may be restricted where an account or release
is suspended or terminated due to suspected fraud, rights disputes,
non-compliance or another applicable reason. Any final treatment will depend
on the circumstances and applicable agreements and policies.
15. No Guaranteed Earnings
Record Tunes does not guarantee a particular level of streams, sales, usage,
royalties or revenue. Earnings depend on actual consumption and reporting
through applicable services.
16. Support and Questions
Users may contact Record Tunes through available email and Telegram support
channels regarding royalty reports, payout questions or account information.
Support is available during Record Tunes' operating periods.
17. Processing Times
Royalty reporting and payout timing may differ from release processing
timelines because third-party platforms operate on their own reporting
and payment schedules.
18. Weekend Closure
Record Tunes operational support is closed on Saturday and Sunday.
Questions or requests received during the weekend may be handled during
the next operating period.
19. Policy Changes
Record Tunes may update this Royalty Policy when necessary. Users should
review the current published policy and any specific agreement applicable
to their account or catalog.
