1. About Record Tunes

Record Tunes provides music publishing, release support, rights administration, revenue administration and related services for eligible labels, independent artists and music creators. Record Tunes focuses on helping creators who may need practical assistance with the process of preparing and managing music releases.

Record Tunes is not presented as a conventional self-service music distributor. The services available to a user depend on the applicable arrangement, review, release requirements and Record Tunes policies.

2. Acceptance of These Terms

By accessing the Record Tunes website, creating an account, submitting content, requesting services or otherwise using the platform, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and the other policies applicable to your use of the platform.

If you do not agree with the applicable terms or policies, you should not use the Record Tunes platform or submit content through it.

3. Voluntary Use of the Platform

Use of Record Tunes is voluntary. No person is required to use the platform. If you choose to use Record Tunes, however, you must comply with these Terms, the User Agreement and the applicable release, distribution, royalty, takedown, suspension and termination policies.

4. User Eligibility and Account Information

You are responsible for providing accurate, complete and current information when creating or using an account. You must keep your login credentials secure and must not knowingly provide false information or impersonate another person or entity.

You are responsible for activity carried out through your account and for promptly informing Record Tunes if you believe your account has been compromised.

5. Music, Rights and Permissions

You must have the necessary rights, permissions, licences and authorisations required to submit the music, artwork, metadata and other material that you provide to Record Tunes.

You must not submit material that infringes another person's copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, contractual or other rights. You are responsible for ensuring that the information and rights you provide are accurate.

6. Content and Release Review

Submitted releases may be reviewed for completeness, quality, rights information, metadata, content compliance and other applicable requirements. Submission does not guarantee approval or publication.

Record Tunes may request corrections, additional information or documentation before a release can proceed. A release may be rejected where it does not satisfy applicable requirements.

7. Label Approval

New label applications may be subject to internal review. Review may consider factors including channel history, catalog strength, previous activity, content quality and other operational or compliance considerations.

Approval is not automatic, and Record Tunes may decline an application or require additional information before approval.

8. Release Processing Time

The normal processing range communicated by Record Tunes is approximately 24 hours to 15 days, depending on the release, checks required, metadata, content review and external processing requirements.

This is an estimated processing range and is not a guarantee that a particular release will be live within a fixed period.

9. Revenue and Revenue Sharing

Where the applicable Record Tunes arrangement provides for revenue sharing, the stated share is 70% to the user and 30% to Record Tunes.

Revenue amounts depend on actual earnings reported through the applicable services, territories, platforms, deductions, adjustments, eligibility and other applicable conditions. The revenue share does not guarantee a particular amount of earnings.

10. Payouts

The current minimum payout threshold communicated by Record Tunes is ₹50, subject to applicable account, revenue, verification and payout requirements.

Reported revenue may be subject to processing time, adjustments or other conditions before it becomes payable.

11. Support

Record Tunes provides support through available email and Telegram support channels. Support is intended to assist with platform use, release-related questions, policy information and other matters within the scope of the service.

Support availability does not mean that every request can be approved or completed in a particular way.

12. Prohibited or Non-Compliant Content

You must not submit content that is unlawful, infringing, misleading, fraudulent, abusive, deceptive, malicious or otherwise prohibited by applicable requirements. You must also comply with applicable platform and content rules.

Where content or metadata creates a rights, policy, quality or compliance issue, Record Tunes may request correction, delay processing, reject the release or take another action permitted under the applicable policies.

13. Takedown Policy

Record Tunes may remove, restrict or request the removal of a release where there is a rights complaint, policy violation, inaccurate information, legal issue, platform requirement or other valid compliance concern.

Users must cooperate with reasonable takedown, correction or rights-related requests. The detailed procedures and circumstances are described in the applicable Distribution Policy and other relevant policies.

14. Suspension and Termination

Record Tunes may suspend or restrict an account, label, release or access to services where there is suspected or established non-compliance, rights concerns, fraudulent activity, repeated content problems, misuse of the platform or another basis allowed under the applicable policies.

Record Tunes may terminate access where the applicable terms or policies permit it. Termination or suspension does not remove obligations that accrued before the action.

15. Quality and Catalog Standards

Record Tunes may maintain quality and catalog standards for the content it accepts. Repeated low-quality submissions or repeated failure to satisfy release requirements may affect future approval or access to services.

16. Third-Party Services and Platforms

Music releases and related services may involve third-party platforms, stores, services or technology. Record Tunes does not control every third-party system, review process, availability decision or processing time.

A third-party platform may reject, delay, restrict or remove content according to its own rules and processes.

17. Fees, Changes and Service Availability

Service terms, eligibility requirements, policies and operational procedures may change. Record Tunes may modify, suspend or discontinue portions of the platform where reasonably necessary, subject to applicable obligations.

Any specific commercial arrangement applicable to a user may contain additional terms. Where a signed or otherwise applicable agreement conflicts with a general website description, the applicable agreement will govern to the extent permitted.

18. User Responsibility

You are responsible for the accuracy of your metadata, ownership information, contributor information, rights documentation and other information supplied to Record Tunes. You must promptly correct information that becomes inaccurate.

19. Intellectual Property

Record Tunes website materials, branding, software, text, graphics and other proprietary materials may not be copied, reproduced, modified or exploited without appropriate permission, except where permitted by law.

These Terms do not transfer ownership of your music or other rights to Record Tunes beyond the rights necessary to provide the applicable services or those expressly granted under your applicable agreement.

20. Privacy

Personal information is handled according to the Privacy Policy. Users should review that policy before submitting personal information through the website or platform.

21. Legal Help

Record Tunes can provide information about its own policies, procedures and available support channels. Record Tunes does not represent that general platform support constitutes independent legal advice or legal representation.

22. Limitation of Guarantees

Record Tunes does not guarantee that every submitted release will be approved, accepted by every third-party platform, remain continuously available, or generate a particular amount of revenue. Processing and availability may depend on content, rights, review, technical systems, third parties and other circumstances.

23. Changes to These Terms

Record Tunes may update these Terms and related policies when necessary. Updated versions may be published on the website. Continued use of the platform after an applicable update may constitute acceptance of the updated terms to the extent permitted by law.
